Matthew Douglas Starr, age 43, of Wilmington on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Born in Tarboro on January 21, 1973, he was the son of W. Douglas Starr and the late Linda Lauder Starr.

He is survived by his father, W. Douglas Starr and his wife, Pam, of Rocky Mount; sister, Rachel Truslow Starr of Atlanta, GA; step-siblings Meredith Switzer and her husband, Jeff, of Weaverville, Jessica Page and her husband, Dr. Chris Weed, of Durham, and Graham Page and his wife, Sonia, of Alameda, CA; along with aunts, cousins; six nephews and one niece.

Services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 100 S. Church Street, Rocky Mount with the Rev. Jim Bell officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the Church's Fellowship Hall and at other times at the family's home, 100 Wildwood Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Your Choice Resource Center (previously Pregnancy Center) at 400 Sunset Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or the Good Shepherd Center at 811 Martin Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
