Jerry Lee Davis, of Spring Hope, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was born May 21, 1932 in Nash County to the late Charley and Tassie Baker Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Shelton and Carl Davis; three sisters, Minnie Cobb, Polly Denton and Gradie Hinton.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Alice Cowan Davis, two sisters, Rosabelle Wiggs, Rebecca Strickland and husband Eugene, Ruby Davis; several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Gean Whitehous officiating. Burial followed at Oakdale Cemetery of Spring Hope.
