Senora Joyner Hayes died on Friday, March 11, 2016. She was born in Nash County on March 4,1926, to the late Charlie and Della Lindsey Joyner. She was preceded in death by sisters, Odessa Woodcock, Thelma Langley, Ora Aycock, and Louise Williams; brothers, Carl Lee, Oliver, and Junior Joyner; and granddaughter, Amy Leigh Ellis.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Ellis (Nancy) and Tim Ellis (Jeanette); three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Effie Cooley (Tom), Christine Morris, Lois Taylor and one brother, Milton Joyner all of Rocky Mount.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, at Northside Community Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Northside Community Church building fund, 1660 Beaver Pond Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
