Javes Wallace Stancil, age 76, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016. Born in Johnston County on September 20, 1939, he was the son of the late Eddie Stancil and Sallie M. Stancil. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marlene Stanley Stancil of Rocky Mount; his daughters, Christy Randall and her husband, Greg of Mebane, NC and Jennifer Vire and her husband, Robert of Nashville; his sister Eula Mills of Rocky Mount; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Fred Thorpe officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
