Clarence Lotis Joyner, 88, of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday evening, February 5, 2016. He was born March 22, 1927, the son of the late Lonnie Freeman Joyner and Ollie Joyner. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Margie Joyner Joyner; his brothers, C. Lee Joyner, Atlas F. Joyner, Aaron C. Joyner, George A. Joyner, W. Gorham Joyner; sister, Eunice J. Robbins; two infant sisters and son-in-law, Daniel J. Wheeler.

He is survived by his daughters, Dianne J. Hill and husband Terry M. Hill of Charlotte, Kay J. Harward and husband Dick R. Harward of Indian Trail, Donna J. Wheeler of Rocky Mount and Janet J. Woodlief and husband J. Michael Woodlief of Rocky Mount; son, Jerry C. Joyner and wife Gwen G. Joyner of Kittrell; 10 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; brother B. Warnell Joyner, sisters Marjorie J. Bone and Genevieve J. Pridgen, all of Rocky Mount.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at Edgemont Baptist Church, 1622 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, and other times at the home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Edgemont Baptist Church with the Rev. Thayer Stamper, Kenneth Mullen, and Dr. Chet Rains officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
