ROCKY MOUNT – Merland Perinel “Bear” Hines, 80, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008. Funeral services were held Jan. 12 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Cornolious Moore officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Gardens of Gethsemane.
