William T. 'Bill" Inscoe, Sr., age 85, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Born in Nash County on January 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Charlie J. Inscoe and Amy Hatch Inscoe. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Smith Inscoe; his sister, Elizabeth Boseman; his brothers, Earl Inscoe, Russell Inscoe, Bernice Inscoe, Frank Inscoe, Charles Inscoe, and Joe Inscoe; and his step-daughters, Phyllis Lepak and Marlene Lancaster.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Pitt Inscoe; his sons, William T. Inscoe, Jr. "Bisco" of Rocky Mount; and Frank S. Inscoe and his wife, Linda, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; his step-daughter, Linda Kicklighter and her husband, Larry, of Battleboro; and his step-son, Watson Lancaster and his wife, Martha, of Rocky Mount; and three grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Reverend Mark Pridgen officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
