Viola P. Radford, age 97, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015. Born in Johnston County, on October 14, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Parnell and Peninah Wood Parnell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Radford and her son, Sammy Radford.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce R. Killebrew and her husband, Charles, of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and her sister, Lucille Parnell Smith of Smithfield.

Services were held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Roy Porter officiating. Burial was at Yelverton Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield.
