Carl J. Swanson, 83, passed away, January 2, 2008. He was born October 15, 1924 in Galesburg, Illinois.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 63 years, Bethel Davis Swanson, one son, Brock P. Swanson and wife Susan of Nashville, two grandchildren, Jeffrey Swanson of New Bern and Ryan Swanson of Nashville, plus several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirlee Hampton.

Visitation was Friday, January 4, 2008 from 7:00-8:30 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service were Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Don Messer officiating in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial was at East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg, Illinois.
