Ernest Hampton Collins, 60, died Saturday, January 5, 2008. He was born on October 29, 1947 in Rocky Mount. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hampton “Eugene” and Eva Collins.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Charlton “Charlie” Collins and wife, Mary Nell of Castalia and one niece and nephew.

Visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at Johnson Chapel of Nashville, 226 South Barnes Street. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2007, at Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville, with Reverends Shelby Stevens and Chris Carroll officiating.
