Cody Michael Joyner, 22, of Spring Hope, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015. He was born October 1, 1993.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 26, 2015, 2:30 p.m. at Spring Hope Funeral Home with Rev. Larry K. Perry and Rev. Charles Summerlin officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hope Memorial Gardens.

Cody was preceded in death by his maternal great -grandparents: Ruby Wood and Mary and John Denton; his paternal grandparents; Joseph Joyner and Rosa Walker Joyner.

He is survived by his mother, Stephanie D. Lester of the home, dad; Phillip Joyner of Bailey; maternal grandparents, Nick and Faye Denton of Spring Hope; paternal grandmother, Laura Joyner of Castalia and paternal great-grandmother; Elsie Mae Walker of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by two sisters: Gena Grey Lester of the home and Shannon Mae Joyner of Rocky Mount.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 2015. 1-2:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
