Robert Sylvester "Boy" Griffin, Sr., passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015. He was born April 11, 1950 in Edgecombe County to the late Roy Milton Griffin and Louise Woodcock Griffin Pittman.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debbie Scott Griffin; three sons, Bobby Griffin ( Brenda), Robby Griffin (Cindy), Little Robert (Tammy) all of Rocky Mount; two daughters, Renee` Griffin (Stan) of Greenville and Tammy Richards (Roland) of Rocky Mount; two sisters, Phyllis Bryant and Gail Joyner (Tony); eight grandchildren; step-father, Robert Pittman; step-brother, Harold Pittman.

Visitation will be Friday, December 11, 2015 from 1-2 p.m. at Benvenue Baptist Church with funeral service will be held immediately after visitation at 2 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Benvenue Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Nehemiah Building Fund, Benvenue Baptist Church @ 2464 Benvenue Road, Rocky Mount NC 27804.
