Edie Louise Harrington, age 82, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Born in Nash County on May 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late David Nickloas Carroll and Gladys Smith Carroll. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Frances Taylor; and brothers, David Carroll; Russell Carroll; and Haywood Carroll.

She is survived by her two sons, George Lewis and his wife, Vanessa, of Rocky Mount; and Barry Craig and his wife, Tatiana, of Indianapolis, IN; and one daughter, Shelia Lewis of Sacramento, CA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister in law, Rose Carroll and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Salvation Army Church, 420 Paul Street, Rocky Mount. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 420 Paul Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
