Arthur Green Fountain died Saturday, December 5, 2015. He was born on March 1, 1931 in Rocky Mount to the late Benjamin Eagles Fountain and Emmie Green Fountain. He was predeceased by a son, Arthur Green Fountain, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Gordon Fountain; his daughter, Elizabeth Fountain Smith and her husband, Robert H. Smith, III; 2 grandchildren; brother, Ben E. Fountain, Jr. of Cary; sister, Jane Fountain Blocker of Richmond, VA.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 153 N. Church Street, Rocky Mount with Pastors Chris Berardi and Mary Kathleen Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church vestibule and at other times at their home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthur's name to First Presbyterian Church, the Pastor's Discretionary Fund, 153 N. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804
