Pauline Beland Baker, age 96, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Born in Nash County on June 28, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Beland and Effie Winstead Beland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lebern Victor "Buddy" Baker; four sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her daughters, Penny Taylor and her husband, Marvin, of Rocky Mount, Marie Byrum and her husband, Ray, of Rocky Mount; son, Dennis Baker and his wife, Sherlynn, of Little Washington; 6 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Daniels officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service.
