James Perry "J.P." Rowe, age 92, of Elm City, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015. Born in Franklin County on June 29, 1923, he was the son of the late Ernest P. Rowe and Hattie Mosley Rowe. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Rowe Patterson; and brothers, John, Dave, Nathanial and Henry Rowe.

He is survived by his wife Lois Eatmon Rowe of Elm City, his son, Todd Rowe and his wife, Brandy, of Pilot Mountain; and one granddaughter.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Jim Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM on Sunday, November 15, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial be made in J.P.'s name to Nash Hospice and Palliative Care, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
