Ophelia Evelyn Batts, 89, passed away October 30, 2015. She was born October 28, 1926 to the late John and Minnie Glover. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Edwin Batts; daughter, Debra Roderick; son-in-law, Gerald Roderick; several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Ronald E. Batts (Betty); daughter, Judy B. Manning (Ray); brother, Leon G. Glover (Janice); three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Batts Family Cemetery 7473 Spencer Cockrell Rd Rocky Mount.
