William Albert Evans, age 80, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015. Born in Nash County, on July 4, 1935, he was the son of the late Perry Evans and Dollie Mae Morgan Evans. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Luthur Evans.

He is survived by his wife, Doshia Evans; his daughters, Martha and Durwood Altman; Joyce and W. C. Cone; Deborah Radabaugh; his sons, James and Candy Gurganus and Larry Gurganus; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 23, 2015 at in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial followed in Stantonsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fellowship of Praise, 3201 Benvenue Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
