John D. Davis, "Punk Battle," 89, of Hollister, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015. Graveside services were held Monday, October 19, 2015 at St. Delight Church Cemetery in Castalia.

He is survived by his wife, Rethella Alston Davis; daughters, Barbara Battle Whitfield (Herbert) of Philadelphia, PA, Garlinda Davis of Nashville, Doris Alston of the home, and step-daughter Ernestine Wood (Simon) of Chesapeake, VA; step-son James Alston (Addie) of Littleton; sister, Mary Oliver of Philadelphia, PA; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
