Walter Clyde Beck, Jr., age 85, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2015. Born in Archdale on April 30, 1930, he was the son of the late Walter Clyde Beck, Sr. and Mozelle Tucker Beck.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rebecca Owens Beck; his two sons, Weldon Beck of Rocky Mount and Gregg Beck of Nags Head; and his daughter Margaret Beck and her special friend, Richard Pecorella, of Raleigh; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Fern Beck Brown of Valdese.

Services will be held on Wednesday afternoon, October 14, 2015 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 3 p.m., with additional visitation following the service until 7 p.m.
