Corinna Frances Smith, age 87, of Rocky Mount, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015.

A native of Nash County, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Willie Mae Smith Winstead. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Eldred Maurice ''Buddy'' Smith; two brothers, William Worsley ''Pete'' Winstead, Jr. and Jerry Lorenza ''Sonny'' Winstead.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Wanda Smith Batten and her husband, Robert W. Batten, Sr. of Raleigh, Anita Smith Strickland of Wilmington and her son Ralph Smith and his wife, Laura of Boone; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Durham of Birmingham, AL, and Inez Allsbrook of Rocky Mount.

Funeral services were held Monday at Northside Community Church with Rev. Mark Pridgen officiating. Burial at Pineview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside Community Church Building Fund, 1660 Beaver Pond Rd., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
