Louise Long Harrell passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015. She was born on February 15, 1922, the daughter of the late John J. Long and Bessie Jordan Long. Louise was preceded in death by her husband Silas J. Harrell, her sister Lillie Long Phillips, four brothers, Elbert, David, Woodrow, and James Long, as well as by her son-in-law William P. Carter.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia H. Carter and Connie H. Bone, both of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 3:30 pm at Pineview Cemetery. A Visitation will be held the evening prior on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 7 pm until 8:30 pm at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, and at other times at the home of Patricia Carter.
