Hazel Stallings Manning, age 95, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Born in Nash County on December 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James Bennette Stallings and Hariet Hogg Stallings. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Stephen Manning; a daughter, Linda M. Gupton; and a son, William Kenneth Manning.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Manning Pearce and her husband, Kevin of Zebulon; a son, James Louis Manning and his wife Judy of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Harvest Baptist Church, 2325 Old Mill Road, Rocky Mount, with Pastor Gary Wood and M.L. Pridgen officiating.
