James O. Davis, Sr., 89, of Castalia, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015. Wake services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Evines Family Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Davis will officiate.

He is survived by daughters, Linda Jennings (Lloyd) and Argie Coley (Walter), all of Castalia; sons, James Davis, Jr. (Belinda), of Castalia, Robert Earl Davis, of Louisburg, and Bobby Davis of Kernersville; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
