George Edwin Robbins, age 76, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015. He was the son of the late George Franklin Robbins and the late Fannie Winstead Robbins. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Robbins.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha Sutton Robbins of the home; a brother, Marvin Robbins and his wife Annette of Sharpsburg; sister and brother in law, Marshall and Margaret Deans of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1130 North Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, with Rev. Wayne Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
