Faye Kirkland Ruffin, 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Edward Otha Kirkland and the late Lois Berry Kirkland. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Anne Elizabeth K. Kelly.

She is survived by her husband Carlton Ruffin of Rocky Mount; her son, Rick Ruffin and his wife Mary of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren; a brother, John Edward Kirkland and his wife Cathy of Midlothian, VA; her sister-in-laws, Debbie Ruffin Bobbitt and her husband Bob of Rocky Mount and Carolyn Ruffin; and her brother-in-law, Mike Ruffin and his wife Robbie of Concord; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 at 11 am at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1130 North Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, with Mike Ruffin officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home.
