Frances Blalock Rodwell, age, 87, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, in Rocky Mount, NC. Born August 29th, 1927 in Lucama, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Franklin Blalock and the late Amy Bass Blalock. Frances was predeceased by her sisters, Kathleen Hinton and Melba Daniels, and her brother, Ralph E. Blalock, Sr.

Frances is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Jerome T. (Jerry) Rodwell; her son, Stuart Rodwell of Raleigh; her daughter, Amy Bates (Matt) of Richmond, VA; and three grandchildren; a sister, Louise Bradley of Wilson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Englewood United Methodist Church at 300 South Circle Drive, Rocky Mount, on with Dr. John Dutton and Dr. Matthew Bates, Jr. officiating. A visitation will held one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to Englewood United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 7128, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
