Rodney Vern Pridgen, age 69, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Born in Nash County on November 29, 1945, he was the son of the late George Pridgen and Iris Stancil Pridgen. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Whitley Pridgen.
Survivors include his daughter, Crystal O'Neal and her husband, Eric, of Nashville; two grandchildren; his sister, Sylvia Rhodes of Rocky Mount and his special companion, Vickie Young of Rocky Mount.
A funeral service was held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Rocky Mount with Rev. Jackie Raper officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
Flowers will be welcomed or memorials can be sent to the Rocky Mount Fire Department Benevolent Fund, 101 S. George Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.
