James “Jimmy” Myron Becknell, Sr.,85, passed away March 3, 2015,  He was born in Nash County.  Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother,  a sister,  one step-son, and one step-daughter.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Welborn Becknell; sons, James “Jim” Myron Becknell, Jr. and wife Debra, and Donald “Don” Ray Becknell and girlfriend, Barbara; brother, Robert Becknell and wife Adeline; sister, Martha; step-daughter, Cathy; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held  Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville.
