John (“Jack”) Arrington Philips, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He was born in Rocky Mount on June 22, 1935. He was the son of the late John Arrington Philips, Sr. and Winifred Phoebe Green. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Adkins Philips.
He is survived by his son, John Arrington Philips, III and his wife, Melanie Raper Philips of Wilmington,  and his daughter, Stephanie Ann Philips of Charleston, SC.; and two grandchildren,.
A graveside service was held Saturday, March 7, 2015   at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Tuttle officiating.
