Addie Glynn Batts Reed, age 75 of Rocky Mount, passed away on March 2, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Ocie Batts and husband James Reed.
Addie is survived by her husband Eugene Whitman of the home, sister Charlotte and husband Kenneth Matthews of Wilson; step daughters Wanda Knight of Henderson and Yvonda Cedatol of Kittrell; step sons Tony Whitman of Kittrell and Steve Whitman of Smiths, Al.
A service will be held at Johnson Funerals and Cremations Chapel, at 2 p.m. Friday, March 6 2015. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from  6 until 8 p.m. The interment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
