Christie Early Wiggs, age 66, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015. She was born in Bertie County  on February 3, 1949 to the late Watson Early and Billie Whittemore. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Godsey Early II.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James “Jim” Wiggs, Jr. of Rocky Mount; son, Jonathan Andrew Wiggs of Graham; sister-in-laws, Nancy Wiggs and Cora Early Wynne.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 2 p.m.  at Lakeside Baptist Church, with Pastor Jody Wright officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Christie’s name to Maria B. Howard Arts Center, 270 Gay Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27802.
