Charlie “Toot” Alston, Jr., of Louisburg,  65, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015. A funeral service was held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Burial was at the church cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Richardson officiated.
He is survived by his wife Bettie Alston; son, Charlie Tyrone Alston (Joyce) of Waldorf, Md.; sisters, Geraldine Alston of Castalia, Verlean Harris (Joe) of Franklinton, Sheirl McCormick (James) of Clayton, Nancy Jones (James) of Castalia, Fannie Pitts (Columbus) of Nashville, Nanre Brodie (Gaither) of Louisburg, Barbara Hines (Mike) of Louisburg, Vivian Alston of Castalia, Elnora Henry (James) of Ivanhoe; brothers, Joe Alston and Claude Alston.
