David Thomas Blanton, 58, of Rocky Mount,  passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015. He was born in Nash County on January 11, 1956, to Betty Barefield Blanton of Rocky Mount and the late Blaney Blanton.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Eason Blanton; daughters, Amy Blanton and Amanda B. High and her husband, Cody, all of Rocky Mount; sisters, Sharon B. Manning and her husband, Arnold, and Deborah B. Phelps all of Rocky Mount; brother, Tim Blanton and his wife, Charlotte, also of Rocky Mount.
A service was held Monday, January 12, 2015 at  Ridgecrest Worship Center, Rocky Mount with Pastor Kelly Shope officiating. Graveside Committal Service was Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
