Barbara Hardee Newton, age 75, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015. Born in Nash County  on December 7, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Frederick Raymond Hardee and Mary Ligon Hardee. She was also predeceased by her cousin, Curtis Hardee, Jr.
She is survived by her  daughters, Connie Weeks Hobbs of LaGrange and Elizabeth Weeks Eackles of Rolesville; her son, David Vincent Weeks, Jr. of Benson; her sister, Dean Hardee Hudgins of Enfield; and seven grandchildren
A funeral service was  held on Sunday, January 11, 2015  at Turkey Branch Baptist Church, 7105 Ringwood Road, Enfield,  with Reverend Howard Guidry. A private burial  followed at W.J. Hardee Family Cemetery.
