CASTALIA    -  Gregory Scott Pernell, 41, passed away December 10, 2014.  He was born in Nash County March 11, 1973.   He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Franklin Pernell, Sr. and brothers, Frankie and Milton Scott Pernell.
Greg is survived by his wife April Pernell; mother, Alice Hale Pernell; father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Carole Strickland; sister, Sonya P. Campbell and husband Chris; sister-in-law, Karole Anne Strickland and Ryan; several nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles and many friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Henry officiating. The family received friends following the service.
