HENRY MCKINNON FISHER

June 7, 1941 – November 29, 2014

NASHVILLE –– Henry McKinnon Fisher, 73, of Nashville, died Saturday morning, November 29, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, at Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC 27856 with visitation after the ceremony. Interment near his parents will follow on Sunday in Maplewood Cemetery, Durham, NC. 

The son of Elbert L. Fisher of Cabarrus County and Elsie M. Perry of Fuquay-Varina, Henry was a seventh-generation North Carolina native. He received his bachelor’s degree from UNC–Chapel Hill in 1963 and his juris doctor from UNC- Chapel Hill School of Law in 1969.

  He was an attorney in Nash County for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife Barbara Shaw Fisher; daughter Karen Fisher Moskowitz and son-in-law David of Charlotte; and granddaughters Rachel, Noa, and Molly Moskowitz. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Elbert L. Fisher, M.D., of Panama City, Fla.
