Bonita “Bonnie” Sue Joyner Boone, 63, passed away Wednesday October 29, 2014. She was born September 20, 1951 in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late Otha J. Joyner and Ruth Bone Joyner.  She was preceded in death by her brother Herbert M. Joyner, sister Jeanette Cooper Stark, and step brother Johnnie W. Joyner.
 She is survived by her husband Danny Boone of Elm City, and two sons Kevin Boone and wife Liane of Rocky Mount, and Travis Boone of Elm City; two sisters, Betsy Daughtridge of Virginia Beach, Va., Myrtle Flowers and husband Pete of Elm City, N.C., four brothers, Jackson Joyner and wife Dolly J., Arnold Joyner and wife Dolly L. both of Rocky Mount, Carson Joyner and wife Beverly of Ellenboro, N.C., Tony Joyner and wife Gail of Rocky Mount; one step-sister Edna Evans and husband Ralph of Columbia, S.C., two sister-in-laws, Connie Joyner of Roper, N.C., Brenda Adkins and husband Ernie of Rocky Mount; one brother-in-law, Randy Stark of Morganton, N.C. and three  grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Sunday, November 2, 2014   at Cornerstone Funeral Home  with the Rev. Jimmy Reavis officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.
