Joseph “Joe” Whitley, 88, passed away, Monday, October 27, 2014. He was born April 9, 1926 in Wilson County to the late Barley Sr. and Sudie Taylor Whitley. In addition to his parents Joe was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Baker and Rosa Lee Page, and a brother, Archie Whitley.
He is survived by his daughters, Lucinda Whitley (Sparky) and Jodie Davis (Robert), one brothers, Clinton Whitley, two sisters, Beck Schiazone of California and Joyce Lewis of Nevada, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
 A funeral service will be Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Dr. W. Jim Whitehead officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Private burial at a later date.
