Alice King Mullis Dickens, age 85, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Born in Charlotte,   on November 5, 1928, she is the daughter of the late Mayhew Harold Mullis, Sr. and Mary Cornelia King. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Sara Page and Nancy McDowell; her three brothers, Harold Mullis, Jr., Leon Mullis and Bill Mullis, Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Russell “Jim” Dickens, Sr.; her children, Carol Dickens Barker and her husband, Andy of Elm City; Missy Dickens Pair and her husband, Grant of Raleigh; and Rusty Dickens of Rocky Mount; and one grand-daughter; sister-in-law, Biddie Mullis of Virginia Beach, VA.
Funeral services were held  Monday, October 27, 2014 at at West Haven Presbyterian Church, Rocky Mount with Dr. Margaret Wilson-Stayton officiating. A private burial was held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Cemetery.
