NASHVILLE - James E. Rogers, 88, died on Sunday, September 7, 2014.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Mt. Vernon Baptits Church with Rev. Dr. Tyrone Jones officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Survivors include his spouse, Mary E. Rogers; two daughters, of Jacqueline D. Rogers, of Nashville and Brenda Rogers-Lassiter, of Nashville; two sons, John E. Rogers, of Rocky Mount and James R. Rogers, of Battleboro; one sister, Ernestine Pelsey, of Manhattan, NY; one brother, William M. Rogers, of Rocky Mount; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchilren.
