Dennis “Pops” James Outlaw, 59, of  Rocky Mount, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014.  He was born in Nash County to the late Floydie and Bertha Outlaw. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a sister, Doris Lewis.
 He is survived by his son, Dennis Lee Outlaw, Sr. and wife Lisa; daughter, Christy Outlaw; two grandchildren; four brothers and five sisters.
A funeral service was held August 18, 2014 in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home.
