Rev. Edgar Millard Raynor, 84, passed away July 23, 2014.  He was born in Sampson County on November 21, 1929 to the late Bernice and Rachel McNeil Raynor.   Along with his parents, Edgar is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Raynor.
Edgar is survived by his son Christopher Raynor, daughter Teresa Johnson and husband Doug; two sisters, Frances Moore of South Carolina and Margaret Morris of South Carolina.  
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 12:30-2 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Edmondson, Rev. Tony Bossalona, Rev. Joe Price, and Rev. El Wood Long officiating. Burial will take place at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
