ROCKY MOUNT - Junior Winstead passed away on July 15, 2014.  He was born in Nash County on September 7, 1939 to the late Otha F. Winstead, Sr. and Sallie Weaver. 
Junior is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Rackley Winstead; two sons,  Jerry S. Winstead and wife Cheryl of Raleigh and Ricky D. Winstead of Rocky Mount; daughter Cheryl Ann Hagan and husband Ricky of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; two great grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held  in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Woody Jones and Rev. Blake Stallings officiating. Burial was at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
