Cecil “Wayne “Alston, Jr., 53, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014. He was born February 15, 1961 in Nash County. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Wayne Alston, Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Alston, his wife, Yvonne W. Alston, two children, Shaun Lynch and wife, Jennifer and Derek Robinson and wife, Ashley, sister, Kim A. Murray and husband, Charles,  and three grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Battleboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, Nashville.
