Joannie “Candy” McCalston, age 87 of Bailey,  passed away Monday, June 30, 2014.
Funeral services were held Saturday July 5, 2014,  at St. Hope Baptist Church, Spring Hope. Burial, Church cemetery.
Survivors include daughters, Marie Hinnant (Johnny) and Linda Hinnant (JC) of Spring Hope, Annie M. Harris (Spence) of Nashville and Brenda Farmer (Ardell)of Spring Hope; sons, James McCalston (Doris) and John McClaston (Dorothy) of Spring Hope, Otis McCalston (Linda) of Raleigh and Danny McCalston of Castalia; sisters, Sallie Taylor of Durham, Margaret Alston and Osie Foster of Spring Hope and Lillie M. Harris of Nashville; several grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren.
