George Thomas Colbert, Sr., 70, of Rocky Mount, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014. He was born in Nash County to the late Joe Thomas and Gevie Hughes Colbert.
He is survived by his sons, George Thomas Colbert, Jr., and James Colbert and wife, Tammy; daughters, Penny Colbert Anderson and Georgette Daniels and husband, Chris; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Danny Colbert; sisters, Grace Thompson and husband, Joe, Joann Hopkins, Judy Williams and Faye “Bootsie” Nobles and husband Tim, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was held Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashville.
