RED OAK - David Ashley Weeks, died at Nash General Hospital on June 6, 2006. Ashely was the son of Clara Bryan Weeks and the late James W. Weeks of Red Oak, North Carolina.

He was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina on August 30, 1954. He graduated from Northern Nash High School, and from Chowan College with a degree in graphic arts.

He is survived by a brother, J. Michael Weeks and his wife, Carol D. Weeks of Zebulon; two sisters, Olivia L. Weeks of Buies Creek and Cathy W. Dennis of Castalia; three nephews, Preston Dennis of Red Oak, Patrick Dennis of Goldsboro, and Michael Weeks of Zebulon; three nieces, Kirsten W. Richter, of Zebulon and Courtney Weeks, of Raleigh; and Amelia D. Pugsley of Castalia; and two great nieces, Tori Logan Dennis and Catherine Olivia Pugsley.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2006, at Hill Crest Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC.

The family received friends at the home of Clara B. Weeks, 9050 Red Oak Blvd., Red Oak, NC.
