Bobby Ray Pierce, age 68, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014. Born in Nash County on March 19, 1946, he was the son of the late Willie Fulton Pierce and Verytine Davis Pierce. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Champion Pierce.
He is survived by two  sons, Tracy Ray Pierce of Nashville and Joey Christopher Pierce and wife Gwen of Wendell; brothers and sisters, Dorothy Jean Tanner, Jackie Pierce, Joan Joyner, Junior Pierce, Wayne Pierce and Carol Pierce Farmer, all of Rocky Mount; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Shope officiating.   A private burial was held Monday at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
