William H. Stanley died Monday. May 26, 2014. He was born March 14, 1925 in Lake View, South Carolina to Ina Humphries Stanley and John H. Stanley.  He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Jack and Joe.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Robinson Stanley; son, Chris Stanley and wife Faye of Chapel Hill; daughter, Marianne Farris and husband David of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; brother, John E. Stanley and wife Sharon of Myrtle Beach; and sister-in-law, Lou Stanley of Lake View SC.
A service was held Thursday, May 28, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mary Kathleen Duncan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated.
